Dream of a Gemini

[ The Twins - my struggle within ]{Birth} The music has stopped, leaving only silence.
Awake from the slumber, I look about the world around.
At a glimpse, I notice the Both of me.
Each twin confused, in conflict yet in perfect harmony. {Adolescence} The smaller Twin is the embodiment of hope,
The believer of the the 'Dream'.
To laugh, to love, to entertain - to simply live.
A persistent individual that forever seeks absolution,
He is the dreamer of the 'Dream', its originator. The larger Twin, an epitome of insecurity.
Strict, exacting, direly barren of existence.
He is only so to protect, to nurture the aggregate.
Wanting desperately to embrace this 'Dream',
Nevertheless, rigidly beholding its existence -
As only an illusion of expectance, a mere dream... {Adulthood} In unity and in conflict, both often share a sorrow,
In that as one, represent apathy; indifference; unfeeling.
While the younger strives to provide the 'Dream' its breath,
The elder, at times wishes to garrote the 'Dream' altogether. Both possess the child's essence.
As one, the child cries out perplexed.
An indecisive Gemini, inept to resolve -
Why does the 'Dream' taunt me so?
Always staying within reach, yet unattainable? {Death} Equivocal. Ambivalent.
In wait for all the visions to vanish,
To "Fade To Black", as does the night envelops the day. It is here, that the numbness is truly welcome.
It is here, that the flames of hope portray their final dance,
It is here, where the eve of redemption and despair draw near. {Eternity} So shall both parties be at peace.
So shall the Gemini forever sleep once again,
So shall the Gemini forever relive their 'Dream'...
