Another great poem below...
when the rain came
Posted by sarah hunt ® , Mon, Feb 26, 2001, 13:37:15

Like lightening love strikes
with tremendous power
With strenght to break hearts
And crumble towers

Like lightening love comes from the heavens
it seems quick and beautiful in all it's splendor
though it comes fast from sky to earth
It can scar a heart forever

unlike lightening i fell in love without warning
There was no thunder or rain preceding
No way to know that after the storm
my heart would be left bleeding

It is as unpredictable as weather
We try to understand it but it is ever changing
We try to hold on to a sunny day
but soon the clouds move in and it starts raining

I thought I held on to you tight before the rains came
I must have fell asleep or blinked to long
Because now only empty arms remain
