Another great poem below...
Just the man i am.
Posted by Kally ® , Tue, Nov 28, 2000, 02:04:45

A long time ago,
i bricked up my heart with a wall,
so thick and high,
that it never could fall;

Then she came by,
singing her song,
making me undo all,
that had taken so long;

She was so close,
but so far she seemed,
a mirage of what,
i had only once dreamed;

I thought, oh to hell with bricks,
the sand and mortar,
once again laid open,
for the slaughter;

Held in a trance,
by the beauty of her face,
so joyful and happy,
brimming with grace;

I followed her path,
i could not resist,
not knowing quite why,
until i was kissed;

I begged her to stop,
and be my queen,
she was suspicious,
with me being so keen;

Deciding against it,
she took her leave,
watching her go,
i could hardly breathe;

Woe,
you foolish heart of mine,
had you not learnt,
from the last time?
