Rain is pounding
lightening is appearing
more and more tears from the clouds
it is another stormy night
kids are at fright
as they watch their parents fight
and send u off wishing u a good night
your afriad of what will happen tonight
will dad leave
or mom will cry
as u sit there hiding in the night
holding your teddy bear tight
wishing everything would be alright
wondering why
your so shy
and afraid of u wanting to say
hi to somebody
or to talk to your family
saying this cant happen
why are u two snapping
lets start connecting
every cry u make to them
they dont listen
they carry on to the next step
and forget the child
that was left back about mile
parents dont know what they have changed in their file
untill after a while
they realize that they sent their kids on trial
towards a new life or denial
no matter what happens
family is for real
no one can steal
that.
