I can't take the times I cry,
a thousand lonely tears;
I can't handle the broken heart,
that never seems to heal;
I lie here at night,
trying not to call;
And sit here and wonder,
what had caused our fall;
I understand that I was wrong'
in many different ways;
But in other ways,
you were just as much to blame;
I love you way too much,
to sit and watch you go;
And our going out and such,
just allowes the pain to grow;
My first true love,
is what you'll always be,
and without you in my life,
I have no plan or meaning;
So I will continue to strive,
to end these hopes and dreams;
Because never in a million years,
do I plan to let go;
And for that I will face my fears,
Just to let you know;
to tell you that your the sun,
that brightens up my day;
And to let you know that when you're gone,
I am not okay;
I want you to know that you're
everything good in my life,
and that if it came down to it,
for you I would even die;
So please mend this broken heart,
and with me make a brand new start;
Because each and every night I pray,
"Lord grant me the chance to make it okay";
Please come back to me,
and take this pain away;
tell me that you love me,
and promise me you'll stay.
