You said we were going just as friends
But little did we know
That when the end of the evening came
We'd let our true feelings show
We started out not getting close
Not kissing or holding hands
But after that first dance we shared
We seemed to understand that somehting great was happening
I felt it when I looked in your eyes
It wasn't how we planned it
It happened to our surprise
So now we've decided to try things out
And hopefully it will last
We'll just let things go their way
And try not to move to fast
