It was meant to happen different,
It wasn't meant to happen so soon,
I wanted to stay a little longer,
I didn't want to leave.

I wanted my good~bye to be different,
I wanted to spend my last night with you,
I wanted to tell you everything I never got the chance to.

I wanted to tell you that I love you,
And that I will always love you,
I wanted to tell you that you will forever be apart of me,
And that I shall never forget you.

I wanted to kiss you one last time,
I wanted to cry on your shoulder when I seen you that day,
But I knew I had to be stronge,
Not only for myself,
But for my friends.

You looked at me that day as if not believing I was leaving,
I walked outside,
Then came you.

You hugged me and said "Take care!"
I smiled at you,
Then you walked away.

Then another friend came out just as I started to cry as I watched you walk away,
He hugged me and told me it would be alright.

Then I walked with another friend just long enought to say good~bye,
And as I walked away I passed you,
You asked me to walk with you,
So I did.

I walked for aways,
We talked and I told you I would stay intouch,
You hugged me once again,
You told me I was going to cry,
But I told you I was going to be strong.

I look at you,
Into your blue eyes,
And said good~bye one last time.

Later that day I was gone,
I left,
Leaving my heart behind for you to keep.

I never got to tell you how much you mean to me,
For without you I would be nothing,
And I love you.
