I have so many promises that I would like to make to you,
But so little time.
And they are hard promises.
Hard to make, and hard to keep.
I want to promise you that we'll
be together forever....
But I can't predict the future.
I want to promise you that I'll never hurt you in any way.
But I'm unsure of all that you are sensitive about.
I want to promise you that I'll always understand you.
But sometimes you are so confusing...
I want to promise you that I'll always respect your opinions,
But what if I disagree?
Do you see what I mean?
All the things which mean the most,
Are too hard to promise.
But there is one thing I can promise.
I promise you that I'll love you forever.
Until the day that I die.
