Staring Out My Window
The day goes slow,
and there's nothing to do.
I just stare out my window,
thinking about you.
I wish upon that twinkling star,
but I'm still wondering where you are.
I want to take you to a movie,
or to a romantic picnic under the moonlight.
I want to have dinner with you,
or stare at the stars together at night.
I want to hold you in my arms,
and never let go.
I want to be with you,
and take everything nice and slow.
This is all I want,
and nothing more.
Is this too much too ask for?
Maybe it is,
and yet maybe it's not.
My brain is tangled in a knot.
So when you finally decide to come to me,
You'll always know where I'll be.
