When we first met
my heart had been broken
dropped on the ground
and left for people to step on

But you came along
and instead of walking
all over my broken heart
you gently picked up all the pieces
so tenderly taking care of it

You were so different from
all the other guys
the things you say
the way you make me feel

You've taken and molded my heart
from the broken mess
it used to be
and given it hope
that it could be whole
once again

Oh but yes
I must confess

I'm scared...

To let my heart go so fully
to another
that could let it drop
and let it break
into the pieces it was before
I want to believe the words
that you tell me with such sincerity

maybe someday I will trust
in the man that has
nurtured my por heart
into what it is now

A heart so full of love and hope

A heart that will love you for all
